Students must complete 18 hours of graduate coursework in counselor education, have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or better, and be recommended for membership in CSI by the chapter. The Chapter organizes community events and conducts NCE study sessions in the spring of each semester. The Xi Chapter offers a Mentoring Program, in which new students in the program are given the opportunity to have a seasoned counseling student assist them with questions regarding the counseling programs. This Chapter of CSI is utilizing technology in an innovative way to connect with Macomb students and those outside of the Quad City area by holding teleconference meetings and by utilizing chat rooms. One of the largest associations of professional counselors in the world, CSI's annual active membership is made up of both professional and student members.
